Great value very useful
I mounted this wedge on a sleeper frame about 2ft high and put it on a raised garden area. Nice and sturdy and made it a good working height. Splitting the slats from a pallet to use as kindling which had been cut to length this made the job quick and easy. The wedge has a good sharp edge.

Brilliant little tool
Spent a couple of years splitting kindling with a hand axe but got sick of a sore back and picking up the bits that flew off not to mention injury worries. Solidly built and VERY sharp makes light work of a very tedious task. Im another one saying should have bought one years ago

Very easy way of making kindling
Price ok.Delivered in reasonable time.Came with 4 screws and a rubber cover.I screwed it to a log and put the log on a wall.Very easy to make kindling by placing wood over blade and hitting wood with a hammer. Safer than other methods. Nails in wood a problem as are knots sometimes.

A good and much safer way of making kindling
This is such a simple idea an upwards facing axe blade on which you place the piece of wood to be hit and then you whack the wood with a hammer. It works like a dream and is so much safer than using a hatchet with no more danger of chopping off fingers

Solid piece of kit
Arrived quickly and although the casting is a bit on the rough side its a solid piece of kit.I use it to split short logs aswell as kindling. But you need to be aware that its not tall enough to split long logs but its perfect for kindling. Its a bit on the expensive side for what it is.

Great little product adding to my options for Log splitting I have a Grillikota in the garden which uses wood and charcoal so need to be able to chop logs for Kindling etc. Much easier to use and more precise than a simple hand axe but complements that tool as well. Would recommend.

Just the job
I screwed this to an old chopping block put a log end on to the spike and with a couple of firm blows with the weighty mallet...bingo Its good that the blade also has a strong rubber cover for when not in use. Its a great simple way of splitting logs and making kindle.

Simple but very effective
Great little piece of kit its so fast. Top tip - mount it on a waist high bit of woodcorner of a table saves all the bending. I cut two dustbin loads in an hour.. Mrs is well pleased
