Titan Pro Tech Tip: Hydraulic Bleeding & Operational Care
Always loosen the bleed screw by 1–2 turns before operating your log splitter to allow air to flow freely in and out of the oil tank. Operating the machine with a closed bleed screw creates a internal vacuum that can deform internal seals or burst the hydraulic reservoir. Always remember to retighten the bleed screw securely prior to transporting or storing the machine to prevent hydraulic oil leaks.

Replacement bleed screw log splitter
Easy to use and replace. Some logs split sending pieces everywhere. This is how the plastic handle got broke in half of the bleed screw. I wish it had better shielding from log bits preferably out the way somewhere.

Bleed screw for log splitter
Not a lot can be said for a bleed screw other than it was the right one for my log splitter However my original one had a rubber washer which was absent on the new one. I was able to re-use the old one as it wasnt damaged when the plastic broke and the screw got bent by a heavy log.

Absolutely love my 7 ton log splitter after years of using a splitting axe. Made a 4way splitting wedge to fit over the 2way wedge and a table that fits on the end of the splitter to catch the split logs. Log splitting now is a pleasure and so much easier
