When fitting a new carburetor, stagnant or contaminated fuel left in the fuel lines or tank will instantly clog the fresh internal micro-jets. We highly recommend completely draining your old fuel tank and lines before installation. Always fit a brand-new inline fuel filter and change the mounting flange gaskets to guarantee a perfect vacuum seal. For seasonal storage, remember to shut the fuel valve and run the float bowl completely dry to prevent modern ethanol-blended petrol from stale-gumming the needle valve.
