Titan Pro Tech Tip: Check Your Earth!
If you turn the key and only hear a rapid "clicking" sound, don't immediately assume the starter motor has failed! This sound almost always means the starter isn't receiving enough electrical current to engage the pinion gear. Before ordering a replacement, thoroughly check that your battery is fully charged, and ensure that the thick black earth (ground) cable is tightly bolted to bare, rust-free metal on the engine block.
