Titan Pro Tech Tip: Flail Movement & Retention
When fitting a new hammer axis, check that the swinging flail hammers move completely freely on the shaft without binding. A light coating of dry graphite lubricant or anti-seize on the axis can prevent rust buildup. Crucially, always use fresh retaining split pins or circlips when reinstalling the axis to ensure it cannot vibrate loose during operation, which would cause severe damage to the rotor drum!
