Titan Pro Tech Tip: Electrical Handling & Safe Discharge
Before servicing any electrical components on your hydraulic log splitter, always fully disconnect the machine from the mains power supply. Capacitors store electrical energy even when unplugged; ensure the old capacitor is safely discharged before handling the terminals. When installing the new unit, take care to seat the wires tightly onto the spade connectors inside the motor terminal box shroud, verifying that no bare copper lines are exposed. Correct capacitor capacitance is vital to supply the initial phasing torque required to start the electric induction motor under hydraulic load.
Important Sizing Configuration:
Please cross-reference the microfarad rating (40 µF) and physical dimensions on your original failed motor casing capacitor prior to ordering to ensure complete structural compatibility.
