Induction motors on electric log splitters experience high initial "inrush" current when powering up from a dead stop. Standard fast-blow BS1362 plug fuses often pop under this instantaneous surge. Slow-blow (time-delay) fuses allow the brief initial spike while maintaining full 13A overload protection during splitting. Note: Always ensure you use a heavy-duty 2.5mm² core extension cable fully uncoiled, as thin or coiled cables cause voltage drops that further increase motor current draw.

Titan slow blow fuse - does the job
I bought this product for my new AVA P80 Evo pressure washer before first using it because the P80 has a reputation for blowing standard 13 Amp fuses when starting.The slow blow fuse has never failed even when current surge caused the circuit breaker to trip. Works perfectly

Bought these for an Ava of Norway P80 jet washer that blows standard fuses. The slow blow are recommended by the manufacturer as the initial surge required can blow a standard 13 amp fuse. As soon as I fitted these the machine worked perfectly

Time delay fuse
The time delay fuse is no different to a normal fuse. When I start my Bandsaw with a normal fuse the fuse blows in the plug and this also applies with the time delay this blow the same. I will save these very expensive fuses for years to come.

The fuses are blowing due to a fault in the machine, the time delay will only be effective if you do NOT have a fault in your machine

Yes thank you the second delivery arrived in two days after the first failed to arrive. Unfortunately my chipper blew them in first use so not sure if its the chipper or the fuses.
I cant fairly assessment this product because my wood chipper blew the first one I fitted very quickly so not sure if its the machine or the fuse.
