When setting up this replacement unit, unclip the lower reservoir pan and fill it with fresh, clean engine oil (standard SAE 30 or 10W-30 is ideal) exactly up to the indicated "Oil Level" fill line marked on the casing. Never overfill the pan, as excessive oil can be sucked directly into the carburetor intake throat, causing heavy smoke and plug fouling. Check the basin every 8 to 10 operating hours, flushing away settled sludge and swapping in fresh oil to ensure continuous filtration security.
