When bolting this new muffler manifold to the engine block cylinder head, always use a fresh exhaust gasket to create an airtight seal. Ensure you tighten the mounting nuts evenly across the studs while the engine is completely cold. Reusing an old crushed gasket will cause a blow-by leak, resulting in sharp popping noises and an un-metered drop in engine performance!
