Purpose-built for the operator steering system on the Titan Pro TP690 Walk-Behind Field Topper Mower, this mechanical pull cable actuates the wheel clutches on the lower chassis. Over time, heavy handling in rough fields stretches original wires, making it difficult to fully disengage the drive when turning the machine around dense overgrowth.
Please Note: The TP690 flail mower requires a quantity of two steering cables in total (one for the left handle lever and one for the right handle lever). These are sold individually so you can replace either side independently as needed.
Titan Pro Tech Tip: Balancing Your Steering Pull!
If your flail mower requires much more effort to turn in one direction than the other, or if it drifts slightly, your steering cables likely have uneven tension. When installing a fresh turning cable, use the inline threaded adjusters to set equal lever travel on both handles. Ensure there is a small amount of slack when the levers are resting completely open to prevent the steering clutches from accidentally slipping while driving straight down a heavy clearing path!
