For shipping and storage planning:
Unless the Gold PDI option was ordered, the machine arrives dry. You must add:
Depth is controlled by the rear drag bar (depth rod). Pushing down on the handles forces the rod into the soil, acting as an anchor. This slows the forward movement and allows the tines to dig deeper.
The front transport wheel is for moving the machine over hard ground. Before tilling, flip the wheel assembly up and lock it into the raised position so the tines can make full contact with the soil.
Yes, but use the Low Ratio Gear (Gear 1). Do not try to till the full depth in one pass. Work in increments, and if the soil is extremely hard, wait for a period after rain when the ground is slightly softer.
Yes. The outer tines can be removed by releasing the R-clips. This allows you to reduce the width for working between established vegetable rows.
If you notice the tines stopping or slipping while under load (even though the engine is running), your drive belts likely need tensioning. Small adjustments can be made via the cable adjusters on the handle.
The standard plug for this 6.5HP engine is an F7TC (or equivalent BP7ES / RN9YC).
Modern ethanol-blend fuels degrade quickly. For storage over 30 days, we recommend either draining the fuel tank and carburettor completely or adding a fuel preservative.
